VOLUNTEER COMMITTEES
We have many different sectors of the company available for those who would wish to volunteer and help out in what ever capacity they feel most suited to. From Pre-Production to Front of House to Crew we will find a place for whoever wants to play apart in our family here at New Curtain Theatre
Fundraising, Promotion and Events
One of the things that makes a company like New Curtain Theatre tick along is the fundraising and events division. Without this committee we wouldn't be able to carry out our mandate to produce the shows that we do. The duties here would fall in the categories of our FOR THE LOVE OF THEATRE fundraising in the the month of February each year on FEBRUARY 14th and our CASINO on the COURSE event that makes its debut in the fall of 2010. Other areas that we have to offer are the many raffles and tickets sales events that also help subsidize out production budget. As well there is the poster and publicity of our shows and our special events that require promoting in the community. Then there are our socials that we hold throughout the year that bring our community together. The co-ordinators of this committee are Daphne O'Rielly, Wils Wiseman and Geoff Adams
Front of House
If you like to meet and greet people then this may be the area for you. In this committee individuals will be involved in the Front of House duties of Ticket Sales, Ushering. Canteen Service Duties and Off-SIte Ticket Sales. This is a way to be the front face of the company and welcome people into the family of New Curtain Theatre. The coordinators of this committee are Jane Thompson and Fiona van der Linden.
Financial Committee
The purpose of this committee is the review of the accounts of the company to insure its continuance form year to year and as well to make sure all doculments of the organization are filed properly and on time to the relevant authorities. This committee should consist of a member of the Board as well as the acountant responsible for the companies books. The Board Rep for this committe at present is Douglas Lake - Treasurer.
Facilities Maintenance Committee/Production Crew
This committee will be responsible for the up-keep of the building, special projects and it general maintenance when required. As well we see pepleinvolved int his committe to be ideally suited for the assistance in the construction of sets, hanging of light, costume building and such for the various productions of the year. In this capacity you will be working with various professionals in the industry. Coordinators of this committee are Wils Wiseman and Morley Adams
